Acquired Taste

Hope you are well.

I've had a blog post on my brain for a few weeks now.

It was titled "On becoming an acquired taste" by the phenomenal marketer Seth Godin.

I'll save you a click as it's posted below.

On becoming an acquired taste

"People say that as if there’s something wrong with it.

In fact, once you become an acquired taste, then those that have done the hard work to like what you make are likely to talk about it, likely to come back for more, likely to insist on paying more for something that’s not simply a pedestrian pleasure, available on every corner, merely pandering for a bit more attention.

It takes guts to create a contribution to culture that’s more than simply a checklist item.

And then you have an asset, one that people with voices that are fungible never do."

Curious to hear your thoughts on this one...I loved it.

I can't think of a better correlation to how ABBEYDALE and our creations aren't for the masses...but markets itself through champions like you.

What else in your life would you consider an acquired taste? Something you truly believe in, love even?

I'd love to hear from you...as it's a great way to add more like minded people to the tribe.

Hit me back.

With purpose,

DW
