Reset

Reset = To set again, or differently.

This is a word that my friend Josh brought up in a zoom call this week.  (Hello J.R.!)

A word he's been thinking a lot about during this time of quarantine.

He mentioned we were all due for a reset.

A reset from work, a reset to a healthier body, a reset with family, relationships, etc.

We've all been forced to slow down and reset.

And this looks different for each one of us.

I'm taking it as a positive.

It’s allowed me more time with my wife, Mia, and Chief, our 2.5-year-old.

It’s allowed for me to work on projects I'm excited to ship soon (I will let you know when they launch)

It’s allowed me the time to work out and get outside more (but eating and drinking too much, so that’s a wash?)

By slowing down and hitting the reset button we can all gain more from this than we know.

I’m really glad Josh brought that word up.

Also, it reinforced something I've known for a while.

If anyone needs a reset it's the fashion industry.

Too much fast fashion, too many trends and too many seasons a year for us to over-consume.

Keeping up with the Joneses.  For what?

You get the point.

And the next time you consider your wardrobe, perhaps it needs a reset?

A little less fashion and more investment pieces, maybe?

Buying less but better always works out in the long run.
