How Apple Can Guide Your Wardrobe
The Apple Marketing Philosophy has some pretty good insight into how they approach presenting their product.
Created in 1977 by Mike Markkula, it has been the focus of Apple's marketing for over 35 years.
We could learn a thing or two from it - specifically on how we present ourselves.
EMPATHY
We will truly understand their needs better than any other company.

FOCUS
In order to do a good job of those things we decide to do, we must eliminate all of the unimportant opportunities.
(You don't need to be loud to be heard when dressing, minimal works, the fit is more important)
IMPUTE
People DO judge a book by it's cover.
We may have the best product, the highest quality, the most useful software, etc: if we present them in a slipshod manner, they will be perceived as slipshod; if we present them in a creative, professional manner, we will impute the desired qualities.
( Now, that last one should hit you like a ton of bricks. How we represent ourselves on the outside may be just as important as the type of person we are. Especially for first encounters -think business or dating-).
Lastly, I had to look up the word slipshod...
