Playing The Long Game

For most of us, the value of a quality item really starts to pay off further down the road.

Longevity is something we should appreciate.

For example, my dad’s vintage military jackets handed down from the Korean War era are some of my favorite pieces.

I’ve worn them with denim and even over tailoring.

It’s the idea of something lasting that long and still being relevant that appeals to me.

When acquiring items for your wardrobe, I’d really consider the longevity of what’s on offer.

It might cost more and be tougher to swallow on the front end, but as my suit bags say…

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”

- Ben Franklin

Sir Charles, Prince of Wales, inspired this post. See below for an excellent example of longevity.

Play the long game.
