Wise Words From Audie Charles

I was reading an interview recently with Audie Charles, creative director of England’s famous haberdashery Anderson & Sheppard.

The article was titled ‘5 Pearls of Wisdom from Audie Charles,’and she left us with something impactful on #5. (Yes, the creative director of A&S is a woman, I love progress!)

“When you buy something, it’s funny how quickly it can just become ‘a thing’ unless you choose wisely. Think how keen you were to have that last sweater or those new shoes on impulse. You can take something home, wear it for a few weeks and then that feeling of ‘newness’ just disappears. That’s not the way to build a wardrobe. I think lockdown has helped us to realize just how little we need to be happy, and how considered our shopping habits ought to be in the future.”

Love this. Reduce impact on the environment and your mental by buying better, quality goods that stand the test of time.

Being home during quarantine has made me think deeper about my wardrobe and how I see it moving forward in the future.

Leaning more casual, tailored with workwear even.

I have some gear coming soon for the work from home movement, but if you have something you’d love to see from me, please let me know.

I’m in a creative spirit.

PS: Huge shout out to all the Fathers out there — today is your day.

I love you Dad!
